1810 England, the height of the Napoleonic wars. It was thought that humans walked the path of enlightenment leaving monsters and dark things behind. However, those monsters and night stalkers merely hide in the darkness, as a young maid, Bernadette, soon finds out.
Some have mentioned that they do not see the advantage to Bernadette being a vampire maid to Angela for the rest of eternity. In response, I say that I do not see the upside to spending eternity in a box buried under six feet of dirt.
Some have also said that Bernadette is now Angela's equal. I have no idea where they got that idea.
My thought about the dark bubbles, doody_machine, is that they represented the sub-conscious, or darker impulses that we all have. Although I don't know why it's decided to manifest as her dark shadow, unless there has been something more interesting about Bernadette than what our wonderful artist and writer have been informing us of.
Personally, I love this series, and can't wait to see what is up next for our dear Bernadette, and how she plans on apologizing to Angela for her rather uncalled for outburst. *shakes his head*
My only remark for Bernadette is "Come to the dark side! We have no-bake cookies"
