1810 England, the height of the Napoleonic wars. It was thought that humans walked the path of enlightenment leaving monsters and dark things behind. However, those monsters and night stalkers merely hide in the darkness, as a young maid, Bernadette, soon finds out.
He says he doesn't know where they are 'now' (this occurs before Angela and Co arrived at the inn, in case you couldn't tell). That final panel and his expression with him saying that should be sounding off alarm bells, though.
In the words of the immortal Admiral Ackbar...
"IT'S A TRAP!!!"
Something tells me that this trio is going to dog our intrepid young vampires, weretiger, and werewolf, until such time as they either are forced to give up the chase (ie they get killed, or lose Angela's trail completely) or forced to delay their hunt in order to refill supplies, weapons, ammo. Surely the "Holy Trinity" (as I've come to call them) aren't outfitted for traversing the countryside and hunting down unknown amounts of enemies with what few weapons and armor they currently have.
