1810 England, the height of the Napoleonic wars. It was thought that humans walked the path of enlightenment leaving monsters and dark things behind. However, those monsters and night stalkers merely hide in the darkness, as a young maid, Bernadette, soon finds out.
"Rapheal cursed me, saying 'Then for as long as you walk this earth, you and your children will fear the dawn, and the sun's rays will seek to burn you like fire where ever you hide always. Hide now for the Sun rises to take its wrath on you.'" ~ Caine (from the Book of Nod).
Huh... I guess they do sparkle in the sunlight... What's that? Catching on fire isn't the same thing as 'sparkling'? Huh... Who knew?
Well, as I said, from now until January, only one page per week.
Excellent comic, found it by the spanish translation in the Subcultura webpage. Your artwork is amazing, love the attention in the detail in the art, the work in character development and the story's pace. Will continue reading you from now on!
PD. The french vampire makes me remember George Boleyn from the Tudors series, both physically and for his amoral behavior.
